So I was a good citizen today. And since Morgan came with me she got a sticker too. All the poll workers thought that was the most wonderful thing and thanked us both profusely and told her what a good citizen she is, and she was just looking around like, "y'all are crazy, but thanks for the sticker!"

Once again I gave the electoral college system the finger, and my vote isn't going to count for jack and you-know-what, but no one can tell me I can't complain for the next four years because I didn't vote.

Show of hands: how many of y'all were aware there was a WOMAN running for President before you looked at your ballots? Heck, even after you looked at your ballot. My brother, who voted before I did, was shocked when I mentioned it. We've _got_ to get over this two-party b.s.

EDIT: Well, that was shockingly anticlimactic. The only thing that surprises me is that some people are acting surprised.

I KNOW. In five minutes, bam, President decided as soon as the West Coast polls closed.

I was expecting to have to stay up and not know until morning. It's kind of disappointing.

And in the same boat about votes not counting. Here, totally Republican. And what's annoying is that the Democratic Reps are essentially Republicans, but occasionally they'll push bids for education that don't pass. We don't even have an honest two party. But it's no secret that Texas' system is pretty awful.

You had a woman on your ballot? Seriously? We had McCain/Palin, Obama/Biden (I almost forgot Biden's name!), and Bob Barr and his buddy, and that's it.

Uuuuuugh, can it be 2012 yet?
