NaNo update

22,695 and whew! _Still_ behind but I'm quite happy to report that not only did I meet my daily goal (which I was dismayed to realize yesterday _increases_ every time I don't meet it), but exceeded it with a bit of buffer. My daily goal for tomorrow is therefore less now. The downward spiral of not meeting the daily count making it harder to meet it in the future is kind of sucky, but the opposite side of it is pretty cool indeed.

So yaaaaay green box on my calendar!!

And unless I'm worse at math than I think I am, if I can keep up with writing 2,000 words per day (even on Wednesday, which will be tricky), I can be caught up in exactly a week, giving me one remaining week of the not-so-frantic 1667 words per day pace. And if I succeed at writing 2k per day for a whole week, I expect I won't be able to just stop 400 words shy of what I've become used to, so I might (dare I say it?) actually finish early. *gasp*

More realistically, if I just ignore the existence of Wednesdays when considering how many days I have left in the month, I will need to really bring my game and do 2200 per day and I'll be caught up by Monday the 24th. Yeep!!

So, that's my margin. 2,000 - 2,200 words per day. At least.

*rolls up sleeves*

*stops wasting writing time doing silly math*

*stops wasting more writing time blogging about doing silly math*
