Not too many nibbles on the Fandom Top Five meme but I'll answer the ones I've got before they get lost in the ether.

* Laura Roslin (Battlestar Galactica)
* Fred Weasley (Harry Potter) - this one still makes me cry if I think about it too long
* Boromir (Lord of the Rings) - I wish we'd had more time with him for character study and backstory
* Qui-Gon Jinn (Star Wars) - people need to stop killing off Liam Neeson. Sean Bean, too, come to think of it.
