Morgan and I are all settled in to our new apartment - well, still boxes all around, of course. The walkthrough of the old place went well. Oh, with one bit of annoyance. ktbee and I moved in. It looked like no one had _ever_ bothered to fill those holes, and had instead just always painted right over the top of them. Well, Mom and Rich own rental units, so when she saw those, she worried that we'd be dinged for damages, so she went around with putty and cleanly filled them in. Then when John (landlord) was walking through, at one point the light hit one of the walls right and he could see the patches. So he says now they'll have to paint over those, and might have to do the entire walls if they can't find the same paint they'd used before. ??!! Don't they have to paint anyway if we'd been there for over a year? And it's frustrating to realize that if we hadn't bothered being "helpful" and plugging those holes, he might never have seen a goddamn thing, since he never has before. Grr.
But the new place is cool, much easier to get to Morgan's school and work. I look forward to the boxes being done so I can do the fun stuff like painting Morgan's room and hanging pictures and stuff.
