Today was _gourgeous_! I went to class in a skirt with no nylons and a sleeveless top. I didn't realize that I'd forgotten how much better I feel when I'm wearing something other than pants. The sky was beautiful clear blue, no clouds (except for the smoke). Morgan and I are going up to Dad's tomorrow either to play in the snow before it's gone or to go hiking in PiPi valley. Her dogwood tree in his front yard should be just about ready to pop.

Have I mentioned that I love spring?

"When you wrote your letter it was April,
And you were glad that it was spring weather,
And that the sun shone out in turn with showers of rain.

"I write in waning May and it is autumn,
And I am glad that my chrysanthemums
Are tied up fast..."

Pipping the post, I admit.

I have no idea what "pipping the post" means...

Come to think of it, I don't know how the expression came to be either.

It means doing something before, according to the rules, you should be, ie. quoting a poem about April and May to gloss a situation in the middle of March.

Aha. It's appropriate, though. April isn't that far off.

Yes, but it should be quoted on the cusp of April and May. I'm still a good month early and have dodgy literaty taste. Wah!

*morose* I went outside today and the wind had a taste of winter to it.

I wish to live in perpetual summer.

Live here half the year and there the other?
