Dude, I did _not_ know that Russians had colonies in America. I mean, sure, if you think about it, Alaska is a duh; but Fort Ross in Sonoma County? = krepost rus. How did I not know that?! (yes, someone was trawling Wikipedia today)

Also, for those of you who learned geography with a side of crime-solving, Where the F*ck is Carmen Sandiego? Ahahaha, I wish there were more!

I've totally seen that video, they have a podcast that i download and watch, they are hilarious. and how did you not realize how many russians there are in california. It's like where they migrate to when they come to america. lol. and they all attend ARC. lol.

Well, yeah, I know there are Russians in California _now_. But I didn't know they were here, like, way back then, before California was California. Or maybe it was always California... Anyway, the Mexicans were concerned enough about it that they told the friars running the missions, "Dudes, get up to Monterey liek now and stop the Russki invasion." Or something like that.
