Dude, I did _not_ know that Russians had colonies in America. I mean, sure, if you think about it, Alaska is a duh; but Fort Ross in Sonoma County? = krepost rus. How did I not know that?! (yes, someone was trawling Wikipedia today)

Also, for those of you who learned geography with a side of crime-solving, Where the F*ck is Carmen Sandiego? Ahahaha, I wish there were more!

as for Russians in Calif? yup - somewhat of a surprise... less of a surprise that little detail would have been hidden carefully.
