So I was a good citizen today. And since Morgan came with me she got a sticker too. All the poll workers thought that was the most wonderful thing and thanked us both profusely and told her what a good citizen she is, and she was just looking around like, "y'all are crazy, but thanks for the sticker!"

Once again I gave the electoral college system the finger, and my vote isn't going to count for jack and you-know-what, but no one can tell me I can't complain for the next four years because I didn't vote.

Show of hands: how many of y'all were aware there was a WOMAN running for President before you looked at your ballots? Heck, even after you looked at your ballot. My brother, who voted before I did, was shocked when I mentioned it. We've _got_ to get over this two-party b.s.

EDIT: Well, that was shockingly anticlimactic. The only thing that surprises me is that some people are acting surprised.

So now that my usual blah-blah-the-system-is-broken whining is dissipating, it's starting to sink in what actually _happened_ tonight. Holy shit, you guys! Oh my god.

Now: Come on, California, don't let me down! *crosses fingers*

NaNo update

A little short today (1008 instead of 1667), though I overshot yesterday by enough that I'm still well over today's goal of 6667. Election frenzy has eaten my muse. Come back, muse! Cissa needs to explain to her mom why she's so late coming back from the New Year's party...
