I spent nearly an entire hour tonight pampering myself. My dad has one of these old-fashioned clawfoot bathtubs, and it is _perfect_ for bubble baths (because it's long enough that one can lay down in it without having to scrunch up your legs and leave your knees sticking up to get cold. I hate that). So in addition to my regular evening ablutions, I had a nice, long, hot, strawberry-scented bubble bath. Aaaaahhh. I feel pretty and girly now. And any moms out there can attest, feeling pretty and girly is a rare pleasure.

*curls up and purrrs like a happy kitten*

welcome to the new and exciting world of a very important verb-infinitive: to GIRLIFY. One girlifies, we girlify and so forth- i think the abstract noun is girlification-enjoy!!

Ah, girlification is not a new concept for me. Once upon a time I was quite good at it, in fact. I'd dress nicely every day, even if it was only for school, put on makeup, all that jazz. I've just forgotten over the years (having a boyfriend and then husband who asserted it wasn't necessary, and then a daughter who occupies 98% of my time). I'm just beginning to reacquaint myself with the whole idea. Taking time out for _me_... how novel.

Ahhh... the deep claw foot bath. Perfect for diving in as a small kid... and stretching out in when you're older. Grew up with one of those. And yes, I'm jealous! *warm fuzzies*
