Legacy challenge start

I decided to try to make lemonade out of the lemon (aka that fugly Mirror I hatched), so have started on justjasper's legacy challenge (or on Tumblr here) with him.

So, I named him Adam, and bought him a girlfriend, Eve.

Adam and Eve colors range

Their babies should be... interesting.

gen 1 a gen 1 b
gen 1 c gen 1 d

But at least it's 50/50 they won't be Mirrors, which I consider a win. I was tempted to give him a Pearlcatcher or a Ridgeback, but the odds would be in favor of Mirror babies there, so no thanks.

This looks like a fun start to the legacy challenge. I can't wait to see where you go with this line. I'm on generation four right now, and while I have triple-gened heirs, I'm still having guardians.

I don't have a certain end point in mind yet. I picked Eve because those babies had a good range, and at the moment I'm just trying to get as far away from Adam as possible, which most of those Foreseen babies seem like they would do.

I found a girl to go with the Pearlcatcher you gave me while I was at it:

They are going to make some friggin' cute babies, omg.

I don't exactly have a goal for mine either besides the basic goals of the challenge (to have a triple-gened dragon who isn't a plentiful). I should possibly have been thinking about that as I started the challenge. When I do it again, I probably will have a goal.

She's SUPER pretty. Those are going to be gorgeous babies.

I have a couple specific breeding projects/hatcheries in mind already, one for white dragons and one for "trees," so for this one I'm happy to just shake it and see what falls out. If my heirs start trending in a certain pretty direction I might get more specific with the mates I choose and start gunning for that, we'll see.

Sounds good. :D

Mine are trending... blue. That's about it.

Jasper's got very dark and blah, lots of charcoals. I probably would have nipped that in the bud with the first greyscale heir to turn up and been like NOPE, YELLOW OR GREEN MATE FOR YOOOOU.

I totally like greyscale babies, but I get it.

I like a little splash of _something_ different. The white dragons I really like are the ones with colored wings, or white wings but a pretty tert. One of my favorites is white/violet (and maize) and she's Shadow so her eyes are purple too. Hnngh.

I really liked that initially. I had a few dragons who were all white but with pretty terts or secondaries, but I got rid of all of them at some point because they just weren't for me anymore.

Ha, I expect my tastes will change, too. Right now I can't imagine giving up any of mine, but I know the day will come when I'm just like, "You. Meh. Go hang with the Gladekeeper."
