Shameless self-absorption
'Cause if you can't do it on your birthday, when can you?
Yep, am twenty-five now; a frightening quarter of a century old. At least it makes my dad and uncle feel old, too, so they can't razz me too much about it.
Inspired by the fact that I was able to wear my black "birthday skirt" on Friday (which was bought _years_ pre-pregnancy), and it was not unduly tight in the waist, I decided to be brave and try to wear a top to dinner at Grandma's tonight that was also from two or three years Before Morgan. And it fit _perfectly_. No funny binding or puckering or pulling of seams, no need to "persuade" the zipper, no "it's on but OMG I can't breathe now." So lovely.

I bought some body lotion the other day that has a very mild self-tanner, because I'm going down to Mexico to see mom in the middle of April and right now I am _pasty_. Now, my skin is not generally very dry, so I don't usually need body lotion or moisturizer or anything, so this was more about just building up a color base than anything else. But as I was dressing this morning I noticed how _very_ much smoother my skin is, and now I totally get why people use this stuff! Yes, I'm a late bloomer as far as girly stuff like this goes.

And I have once again "resolved" to stop biting my fingernails. Today was day #4, so we'll see how it goes this time.
