Words... what do they all mean?

So, um, there's little bits of white on, like... four of my nails. Yerg. *checks tags* So, eight weeks this time. New personal record, I suppose. And also a good sign they aren't _completely_ demolished, but it's still frustrating. I was enjoying drumming my fingers and hearing clicks instead of just thuds. May have to resort to acrylics.

No, the icon has nothing to do with my nails, I just wanted to show off my new Malfoy prettiness.

So it's been a while since I weighed in. I still don't know exactly how long it's been this time around. I know I could look through my tags and check, but part of me doesn't want to jinx it by knowing exactly how many weeks/months/whatever it's been. So yeah, just "a while." The whites are the same length on all of them, maybe 1/8 - 1/4 inch (I'm so bad with estimating sizes & lengths etc.). I could give myself a little French manicure, but I think I'll put something opaque on tomorrow so I'm not tempted to obsessively clean mess with them. Better yet, maybe I'll treat myself to an actual real manicure at the salon on campus on Monday. Hmm.

I don't remember how long it's been for my nails, but they're doing pretty good. Little bits of white on all of them. Just yesterday I took off the pink polish that had been on there for I think a week, and now they are purple with blue iridescent sparklies. And even without the yicky-tasting stuff as a topcoat, I haven't even tried to bite them in a while. Still pick at my cuticles, but even that I'm tending more toward finding a pair of cuticle nippers instead of just going after whatever is annoying me with my teeth. So *crosses fingers* maybe this is it. Maybe finally for some unknown reason I've just randomly stopped being a biter.

Okay, trying once again with the yicky-tasting polish. I have people to meet in four months and I would like my hands to be presentable. Here goes.

So apparently six weeks is about my limit. There's white left on, like, _two_ of my nails. Dammit.

Three weeks.

I am totally cheating and have applied acrylics (home-done; not from a salon where they take a Dremel tool to one's nails). But the good news is that they are all still intact. I mess with them and rub their edges perhaps more than I should, but they are all still securely on my nails and protecting them as they grow out, which is the point. And in the meantime I can go ahead and wear dark polish and it doesn't look funny (at the moment I've got a very nice dark wine/raisin which I surprised myself by falling in love with).

Nails: Two weeks! Yay!

Alan: Two months. Not-so-yay, but getting better every day.

Ha! My nails made it through Game night! That's one week in Round Two.

Also, we have shucked off the PitA Tremere and have even switched genres, back to 7th Sea! Yay! *happy dance* I shall be a Vendel pistol-wielding duelist ('cause it makes Jordan _much_ happier when we play out of our "comfort zones" so for me that means combat. ktbee, for instance, was expressly forbidden from playing a sorceress, and my brother has become our social-skills face man - amidst much griping from him, but I think if he sucks it up and _tries_, he'll do fine). This will be a very nice break from the World of Darkness, which was getting _very_ onerous and depressing and out-of-character stress-inducing. Which are three things a game should never, _ever_ be.

Godfuckingdammit, what is it about Game night that makes me just demolish my nails?!

There are no longer any whites on any of my nails. I don't know what happened last night, but I'm so depressed now.

Plus I just found out that the appointment with Global Education which I thought was today was _last_ week, and I have thus totally missed it. Thanks for the confirmation call, assholes.
