Long Time

It's been forever since I've written. January passed without incident, in February I took Morgan back to California to work for my aunt during tax season. We were there until late March. Being out there basically by myself has really helped to kick my butt into gear. I came back all fired up with a budget and diet-friendly menus. Mom came back in order to celebrate our birthdays, and it was great having her out here.

A couple days after we came in, we drove out to St. Louis for Morgan's appointment at the Shriner's Hospital. We spent the night in town and the next day went to the zoo, where we met up with my friend Stephanie from Cottey. It was great to see her and introduce her to the baby. Plus it's been forever since I've been to a decent zoo.

Okay, I'm back now

Mom left after Morgan's birthday earlier this month, and in the meantime I've been job-hunting. It was quite a long process to get the one I really wanted, but I am finally going in tomorrow for training! That'll really help with our budget. Once I get settled in this job, Johnnie will look at finding a new one for himself. The security company he's working for now isn't very big, so the possibilities for transferring if/when we move out of state are nonexistent. He's looking at Securitas, which is an international company. So not only would that work for out-of-state, but also with my plan to eventually live overseas and teach English. Looks like everything is headed in the right direction. Now we just need to get our own apartment so we can get out of his mom's hair....
