Went window shopping with a friend today. It was nice; for a while I was able to pretend that I was just a girl enjoying herself again. It took my mind off all the stressful things happening in my life lately and seemed like there wasn't anything else in the world but me and my friend spending time together. I haven't felt like that in a long time.

In other happy news, I was informed today that the bank where I just opened a new account (because dad has put me on an allowance until I find a job; woot!!) is hiring. Beautiful. And they don't require a credit check. Working so closely with money, I figured they would, especially as the hotel, of all places, did random credit checks on its employees. I'm surprised that the bank doesn't. Surprised, but very pleased. That would have knocked me out of consideration right then. I know being a teller at a bank is yet another entry-level position, but you can't beat the hours, as I will need daycare for Morgan while I work, and the providers up here only want to work standard business hours - I can't blame 'em, but it is somewhat inconvenient. And it's possibly not the best benefits package around, but they must have something. So I'm hopeful.
