janetlin: (Game)
Fantastic fun in our werewolf game tonight. Last week we scoured a den of wyrm-minions, save one (of course, it's the head guy) who escaped through a portal or something. We reported our progress to the Warder, but tonight he sent us back out to find the guy who got away. Our metis tracks him to a bar in the seedy part of town. We walk in the door, and see the guy sitting at the other end of the room. The place is _filled_ with people. Four of our pack (there are six of us) go in to rumble with him and his goons, while I stand in the doorway and declare to the assembled patrons, "Ladies and gentlemen, it seems it is no longer safe here. I suggest you take your drinks and leave."

GM: Your difficulty will be seven; these people _like_ to watch fights.

me: *rolls three 7's, a 9, and a 10.* ((bounce, bitches))

GM: But apparently not _this_ fight.

Woot, earned meself two Honor and one Wisdom for upholding the Litany. That just warms my little Philodox heart.

And then the metis.... *sigh* frenzies and falls into the Thrall of the Wyrm. Our alpha (my character's brother, Hayward) goes to try to talk him down. The metis turns on him and deals eight damage in one hit (the guy has a Strength of 6 even as Homid, and he was in Crinos at the time). He rolls his two Wits and miraculously manages to refrain from inflicting his perversion upon Hayward's Incapacitated body. He runs back through the bar and Inc's two more people. He succeeds in his first Wits roll, but the second... is a botch. He comes out of his frenzy with his face, hands, and groin covered in blood. This is all kinds of bad as he's a Black Fury and he turns to discover that his victim was a woman. I... don't think I have a Rite of Punishment appropriate for that (assuming his BF mother doesn't just kill him when she finds out).

I kept wanting to roll for Sanity loss. Yikes.

And we lost our Glass Walker Ragabash. He jumped on the back of our guy-who-escaped-last-time, who then escaped _again_, taking our Raggy with him through his portal. Our Galliard will sing orate of his fearlessness and he gets boatloads of "posthumous" Renown. Yes, the "presumed" part of him being presumed dead is what has us worried...
