(no subject)
Sep. 3rd, 2007 10:58 pmThis semester has totally snuck up on me. As in, I haven't even bought my books, and my first class is tomorrow. Oops. My summer has been pretty full of other stuff, though. And the first day or two are generally uneventful anyway.
So yeah. I checked my schedule and got all excited about my classes again. I wish I didn't only have one of them tomorrow; that's always rather antclimactic. But the ones I'm particularly looking forward to are on Wednesday, so maybe that'll balance it out.
Tomorrow (Tuesdays and Thursdays), I have Shakespeare's early plays (now that I'm not a theatre major anymore, I'm finally taking a Shakespeare course. Go figure).
Mondays and Wednesdays I have Language, Culture, and Critical Thinking; Magic, Witchcraft and Religion; Linguistics and the English Language; and The Nineteenth Century Novel (I'll finally read some Austen, wow).
And on Fridays I have Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion all by its lonesome. Apparently I either wasn't paying close enough attention, or they changed it after I registered, because I could have sworn that I'd left myself with completely open Fridays. That is going to be a hard one to make myself go to, but hopefully the subject will be interesting enough that I'll actually _want_ to.
Oh, and yeah, grades from last semester (which I totally forgot to check until I was looking up my schedule today): A- in Russian, woot! B+ in British Lit (apparently the lack of homework didn't hurt me _that_ much) C+ in Cultural Anth. - not great but it's good enough for graduation. And an Incomplete in Advanced Comp. I still need to write both those damn papers. Now I think I have late fees on the Templar books I borrowed from the library. Yarg. 3.16 for the semester, though, which brings my cumulative up to 2.698. Still just creeping along, but we're creeping _upward_. And once I write the papers and my Comp. teacher puts in the grade correction, that'll bump up even more.
And looking back at past semesters, I just realized this is the _first_ time at Sac State that my semester GPA has been over 3.0. WOOOOT!! Wow, once upon a time (high school) that wouldn't have been anything remarkable, but womg. Now we're cooking with gas!
