Grades are in
Jan. 8th, 2008 01:43 pmSo the English class that I thought I was failing, turns out I got a B. I don't think my math could have been that far off (English major notwithstanding), so I think there might have been liberal amounts of "points for effort" happening there. I have the same teacher again next semester and I will really try to redeem myself and actually _earn_ my grade this time.
Conversely, the anthro. class in which I thought I was getting a low B or C ended up a D-. Yeowch. Will have to retake that. The problem there is that it was my first class of the day, and the teacher has pop quizzes in the first ten minutes of class. Which I almost always missed. Out of thirteen pop quizzes in the semester, I think I made it to like five or six. Yeah. Another teacher I will need to redeem myself to.
I solidly aced Lx and the English Language, though. Yay!!! And my other anthro. class gave me a B. And hopefully I'll have another B or thereabouts once I finish the term paper for my Shakespeare class. Which needs to be done this week, as I don't expect I'll be able (nor even inclined) to work on it at all while I'm in New Zealand, and it's due two days after I fly home.
Must also buy books for the spring semester this week so they're here by the time the semester starts. Done! I'm so on top of things! And whoa, it's so much easier to buy books _before_ the first day of classes. Wow, I'll have to remember this...
Must remember to be more careful about the timing of big vacations in the future, as well. Hopefully Saturday and Sunday will be enough to get over my jetlag so that I'm not shattered for the first day of classes. Gyah!
