NaNoWriMo 2011

Wow, I hadn't posted _anything_ about NaNo this year. Haven't posted much of anything since we moved, actually. Probably due to both unpacking in general and also that my computer is currently set up on the coffee table in the living room and sitting at it for extended periods of time is quite uncomfortable. But, as evidenced by my snazzy new icon, I persevered and wrote all my words. Yay! Alan also won, and honestly I think it was him doing so well that kept me going. Throughout most of the month I was so uninspired to write, but it was him sitting at the coffee table next to me typing away that made me pull my socks up (as he would say) and just do this thing.

I never did get any flash of brilliance or even just a good idea, so it ended up being a Zorro reboot, and I didn't think I'd make it to 50,000 words just because the premise was so weak. But hey, any landing you can walk away from, right?
