1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

This is the Bard as he appeared in "The Shakespeare Code" on Doctor Who. Hey nonny nonny, indeed! Used when I'm talking about Shakespeare stuff (creative, I know).

This is the one icon that's been with this journal since the beginning. This is fanart of Nynaeve al'Meara from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. She's generally grumpy and short-tempered, but once she finally gets laid finds the love of a good man, she calms down. So this is her in a rare moment of contentment. Used when I'm feeling happy and content, sometimes my default icon, and formerly the one I used when talking about Alan. (Er, that is not supposed to sound like I'm not happy and content with Alan. My current icon for him is one of us kissing, which is even more appropriate than this one.)

Where The Wild Things Are! Nostalgia ftw. Not used very often but I couldn't pass it up. The caption says it all: for use when dancing/partying is called for.

The Berlin Wall. Also not one I use very often. This one is for "breakthrough" or speaking about walls of one kind or another (writer's block, etc), possibly some day "I've had enough of this sh!t and am going to do something about it" if the situation ever comes up.

My freshman-year English teacher got it right: I am the Goddess of Procrastination. For use when I'm schmoozing on the computer when I'm supposed to be doing something else.

lol, pretty much just what it says on the tin. A Song of Ice and Fire doesn't _need_ fanfic because it's all canon! For use specifically when I'm talking about that series though less commonly for fanon in general.

This is Christine praying in the newest Phantom of the Opera movie. For when I'm praying or otherwise contemplating deep things.

Spoken by Polonius in Hamlet. Ironic because it comes in the middle of a rather wordy speech: My liege, and madam, to expostulate/What majesty should be, what duty is,/Why day is day, night night, and time is time,/Were nothing but to waste night, day and time./Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit,/And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes,/I will be brief: your noble son is mad:/Mad call I it; for, to define true madness,/What is't but to be nothing else but mad?
... "Dudes, your son is crazy." For use when even I know I'm babbling.

"Torn up roses" is one I'm happy not to use very often. For when something that should be (or once was) beautiful falls to shit.

David Beckham as Prince Philip in one of the photos Annie Leibovitz took for Disney's anniversary. I love the Disney princess movies, and especially Sleeping Beauty. Plus Philip and Aurora remind me of Alan and me, what with that whole "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream" thing. For use when somebody does something heroic and/or Alan is particularly wonderful.

Wow, yours are hard because with captions they're pretty self-explanatory. But these make me go huh?
