Well, my Bio tells most of the little details about me, and since I will probably be talking in later entries about my daughter Morgan, and all the little developments going on in her life, I should probably take this opportunity to lay out the background of her situation.

Morgan was born with club feet. Her ankles were twisted so her feet both pointed toward each other, and were angled up onto their sides. When she was five weeks old, she began treatment at the Shriners' Hospital for Children in Sacramento (luckily very close to where we live). This treatment involved a series of casts that slowly overcorrected the angle of her feet, and a surgery to lengthen her heel cords, to flex her feet. She is currently four months old, and is now wearing special shoes with a bar between them, to hold her feet at the correct angles while her ankles continue to grow and develop. She must wear the shoes and bar full-time (with small breaks for baths and whatnot) for three to four months, after which she will only have to wear them for nights and naps.

Morgan is a beautiful girl and is always smiling and "talking" to us (in a very loud voice which she gets from me). She is not crawling yet, but the casts and now the bar have not gotten in the way of her rolling over. She's sleeping through the night every now and then, and we're just now trying to get her to eat rice cereal and formula (any moms out there have pointers on how to do this?).

That should be enough so you won't be totally lost when I post Morgan updates, and sadly there isn't very much else to my life nowadays. On those few instances when there is, though, I'll certainly be posting it here.

Good evening for now.
