Did ~1200 words today, which is :S. Less than the daily goal in order to finish on time but thankfully I'm still kind of riding the coattails of my really fantastic first day and am therefore still overall ahead of the game. But I think today was the last time I can cut into that margin. BUT I'm happier with what I wrote today than I was yesterday. Stuff actually happened! I got my characters out of the house and actually introduced them to another character! Well, introduced one of them, the other already knew him since they grew up together. And I think I have the teeny tiny beginnings of a ship here. I... did not account for this. Still, maybe the love of a good man (and the sheriff is a good man) will help my female lead soften up a bit into the personable character she was meant to have been all along. I'm just not sure where the heck a romance is going to fit into my plot. *scratches head* I have never not planned for romance before, this is weird.

Still, though, he's a sweetie and I think at the moment I have a bigger crush on him than I do on my David Tennant doppelganger male lead. So we'll see.

Today, I burned down an Orphanage. =\
I'm actually in the opposite boat to you- I did quite badly on day one, but have picked up over the past couple of days to be (ever-so-slightly) ahead of schedule.

And I suspect it's about time to start having my Librarian do something, and show off just how David Tennant-y he is.

Also I need to remember that you're a day ahead of me and your word count should therefore be higher. I keep seeing your numbers and going "grar how does he write so fast?!!"

Exactly, I'm a day ahead, and thus you shouldn't worry. If I am writing fast, it's just because I tend to stay home most of the day, and can write whenever the fancy takes me.

Hmm. It's turning out that my Librarian is less David Tennant and more Me after a bit too much coffee. Although the 9 year old daughter of my co-worker tells me I remind her of the Doctor, so I suppose, in a weird, roundabout way, he's sort of Tennanty-ish.
