Book #9 - Coming Out

janetlinI bought this in the bookstore in SFO when I finished GoF insanely quickly. There was a sad lack of any sci-fi/fantasy/historical fiction, so I went for this, though I should have got something bigger, as I finished it not even halfway through the flight to New York and was bored thereafter. So I bought _three_ books in JFK and hopefully those will keep me throughout my time here and my trips home.
Anyway. This is a fairly fluffy read. The story is about the family of a former debutante, whose twin daughters have been invited to come out at The Arches, apparently _the_ debutante ball for New York society. Drama happens when the political activist twin refuses to participate in such an archaic and demeaning ritual and omg angst and stress and what are we going to do?! Yeah, I could hardly take myself seriously reading this, and it's definitely one for the book bin when I get home. But it distracted me for about three hours, which is all it was supposed to do.
