The implications of our very dry winter start sinking in: Fire in Tahoe. I'm fine; I'm far enough away that we probably won't even get any of the ash in the air. My dad lives a bit closer and might get some smoke, but isn't in any danger of the fire itself. I worried when I realized that we hadn't got enough snowfall this past winter, but figured that would likely manifest as a drought this summer. I hadn't even thought about forest fires.
