I now officially have a "line," my very own inside joke for Game.
Jordan: Can you Climb?
Me: :D Hey!! ... :( No. *after checking the character sheet and realizing that my armor check penalty gives me precisely _zero_ in Climb*
So for the rest of the session, that was the thing. "Hey!! No." There are far worse things one can be rememberd for having said in Game, so I don't mind at all.
Also Jordan and I declaring that one another's Reign of Grammatical Correctness was at an end. Though we never did decide whether it was "heraldic" (me) or "heraldric" (him), because neither of us was 100% sure, we did get into a heated debate (while Rew and Rachel bought the party mounts and tack) regarding the "adjective" form of adjective. Because Jordan does not frequently "need to use the adjective form of 'heraldry.'" Which I said should be the adjectival form, because the "adjective" form of adjective is adjectival.
J: But I wasn't using it as an adjective; I was using it as a noun.
Me: No, you were using it as an adjective, because it was describing the noun "form."
Mmm, pedantry is fun. Because you find yourself tickled by the discovery that the word "adjective" is not.
And I just checked my dictionary, and I was right on both counts.
Wish I had a nice, smug!Hermione icon. Ah, but Sam and Danny will do beautifully.
