I've gone and done it: I've finally left my Harry Potter game on GJ. It feels so weird to be out. I've been playing there for almost a year (the end of this month). I sent PM's to the two players I know I'm really leaving in the lurch, and one has already replied, thanking me for my thoughtfulness in doing so, which is a huge relief that she's not like, "Grr, damn you, you've ruined my plot!" I had been thinking about it off and on for a while, but especially lately when my characters just have not been talking to me at all, and they're very "eh, whatever" about responding to other characters even though _I_ want to PLAY. Plus my heavier school load this semester, and I realize that I really do neglect Morgan in the evenings. So I figured this was a good time to bow out gracefully, though there would never be a time when I wasn't involved in any plots at all, so somebody would end up holding the bag no matter when it happened.

So... yeah. I feel all, like, grown-up and responsible and stuff. Now what do I do with all this newly free time?

WoW... Persuasion... season 2 of Battlestar Galactica...

*sigh* Austen it is.

There is a season for everything. Er, congratulations on being all grown up and everything. (I seldom manage it.)

Thanks. I've been saying that (the season for everything, that is) to the other players who have left recently and have apologized for leaving plot hanging, too. And there really is. Tabletop games do the same thing. Play for a few months, move on to a new system, maybe change up the player roster a bit... it's all very liquid.
